Another successful live removal. Fire blocks have screens that cover the holes. These screens inevitably go bad. This allows the bees access to the attic. Any small hole that leads to a large protected space, is the ideal home for invading colonies of killer bees. We were lucky on this job. I managed to get the fire block out and the bees were close at hand. Many times you end up having to go through the roof. This might sound a bit extreme. But if you don’t get the wax and honey out, you attract hive beetles, wax moths, ants, rats, and other assorted pests.
